Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2019 kicked off with the continued tradition of the Fashion Business Series talks tagged “The Gathering”. The by-invitation-only fashion business dinner brought together fashion leaders, designers, and influencers from all over together last night to discuss the business of fashion.
The Fashion Business Series conversations centered around Creative Sustainability, Fashion, and Identity, and Owning our Culture. In collaboration with Essence House, the panel featured the Essence Ventures CEO, Richelieu Dennis, sustainability advocate, Bandana Tewari, fashion designer, Selly Raby Kane and visionary, Hirofumi Kurino. With them on stage was Style House Files/Lagos Fashion Week Founder Omoyemi Akerele who moderated the panel.
The evening was a fusion of great fashion minds with designers like Adebayo Oke-Lawal, Emmy Kasbit, Mai Atafo, Sisiano Paolo, who were in attendance as well as fashion personalities like Akin Faminu and Denola Grey, Photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi, and stylists Veronica Odeka Moses Ebite.
