Samson Soboye is the Founder and Creative Director behind SOBOYE, a London-based African Fashion & Lifestyle brand, and Boutique.

Samson Soboye has over 20 years of experience in the creative industries and is the British Nigerian creative behind this successful brand established in 2002 in Shoreditch, a lively, artistic, vibrant, energetic area of east London.

Samson graduated from Central St. Martin’s School of Art in 1994, where he rapidly established himself as a fashion stylist, working initially with Lucinda Chambers at British Vogue, then worked as a Freelance Stylist for publications such as The Guardian, The Times, ES Magazine.

In 1999 Samson developed his love of Textiles & Interiors by starting his label: Samson Soboye Home Couture. Here he created elegant hand-made cushions and throw-pillows using faux furs, unusual hides, Mongolian Lamb, butter-soft suede’s, and leathers creating a trend for touchy and feely luxurious interiors - featuring Luxury Lifestyle magazines such as; The World of Interiors, Elle Decoration, House & Garden, Wallpaper and Living Etc.

In 2015 Samson was appointed Head Stylist for African Fashion Week London(AFWL), a post he continues to hold alongside showcasing his Men’s & Womenswear.

Soboye presents his business to a multicultural, discerning, and design-savvy clientele. Sobre is about showcasing products that are craft-based with most of his brands having an element of being hand-made that are directional, beautiful, and are of exceptional quality.
