About
Bridget Awosika is arguably one of Nigeria’s most talented designers and one to watch for the future. It’s almost impossible to get used to or bored of her aesthetics as she always brings something new every season with different colours and fabrication.
She makes sensational use of “modern shapes, asymmetry, clean lines, cuts, draping, and intricate details.”
Bridget Awosika was born in Washington DC to Nigerian Parents. At the age of ten, it became apparent that she would pursue a career in fashion design as she displayed more appreciation towards sketching, collecting fabrics, art, and hand sewing than anything else.
Realizing that she would want to design womenswear/menswear professionally and ultimately run a successful business, Bridget attended Howard University in DC and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She later proceeded into New York City, where she attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design and subsequently worked as an intern at Donna Karen and Giorgio Armani. She worked full-time for one year with Armani before deciding to start her line.
