Ella and Gabby is a Nigerian fashion label headed by Creative Head Ada Mgbudem. The brand made its debut on April 14th, 2012, at the Ballroom of the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, where they presented their Autumn/winter 2012 collection.
Since its launch, the label has showcased two collections, and they hold impeccable customer appeal as the cuts, stitches, and seams tell compelling stories of feminine elegance and freedom. They are warm, simple, effortless, glamorous, and universal.
The label uses fabrics from around the world, including contrasting lace, and African prints are a perfect symbol of how different worlds can work together in perfect harmony.
The Ella and Gabby woman emulates opulence, inspired by over-the-top grandeur and prestige. She’s effortless and understands the effect her presence has on her audience.
Ella and Gabby showcased a collection at the recently concluded African Fashion Week London, 2012, featuring little bejeweled print dresses in verdant green, subdued plums, and bright oranges. It also had a flowing skirt, halter neck dress with black and red layers, black velvet dress, cobalt jumpsuit, and a floor-sweeping mono-strapped blue dress. Her designs at the fashion show were termed fun, sexy, colorful, and flirty.
